Just want to say that I'm still here and trekking. Not much to say other than that. Kinda of tired, drained but wanting to send to the cyberspace that life continues in its mundane state. For now. You, out there in whatever land or space, really need to know this tiny tiny bit of my rambling before the end of another nondescript day, correct?

If this is a fact, I might do this more frequently. See it as an exercise for my aging brain. Right. Carry on.

Give me your gawky,
Your elderly
Your stiff-arm masses yearning to be graceful
The wretched abecedarians encroaching on your brilliance
Send those beneath you to me
I lift my chi and light our lumbering journey to the Source

It was glorious yesterday, sunshine after a week of rain. I went trekking along the river and took the path to check out the state of my grove. I was happy to find it is more or less back to its former shape.

Two years ago NCC used my grove by the river as the dumping ground for the cut-down trees and bushes from their re-landscaping of the park. Two years later, there is still a huge pile of grounded wood chips occupying 1/3 of the grove. But, there is enough cleared space for me to practise my taiji. That's enough, I got my grove back for my taiji practice; so life is good.

Only in Canada.  Eve of Spring and we are clobbered with 25 cm of wet, heavy snow. Blah!

Finally, sunshine and warmer temperature! So tired of the snow. I have stopped

It is the year of the water snake.  Take care and know that water snake can sneak up on you easily.  No waves, no noise, then it is in your face.  So, stay calm, be still and be with the water.  All the best, to myself and everyone!

OK, I'm going to keep the New Year's Resolutions started two years ago.  So let's see what a year end review has to offer...

Well, checking in 21 months after 2011 New Year's Resolutions... Let's see...

1. I will lose 10 lbs. - well, the good news is that I have not gained more lbs!!!
The same...
Well, I lost 5 lbs due to a (2012) summer cold but the good news - I have not gained them back yet!

Just stepped off the scale.  Gained the 5 lbs back; ho-hum.  On the bright side, still the same weight as 2 years ago!

2. I will get at least 7 hours of sleep each night. - Ah, I am trying...
Still trying...
Still trying, yep.

3. I will eat less meat and more veggies and fruits. - still doing well with this one, except when my kid comes home.
The same, good on my own, not so when my kid comes home...

4. I will practise at my grove... - NCC has messed up (re-landscaped) my grove this summer; so I need a new grove to call my own.
Still searching...
Haven't found it yet but I am very happy right now with where I'm at with my taiji.  I dare say that I'm at peace with my taiji.

I know what I want in taiji and I'm at peace with my taiji.

Well, there is still a lot of work to do, eh???  You bet!  Ditto again!

Yep Ayah (cantonese)! Ayah again!!! Better work hard in 2013!

Wishing everyone a happy and safe New Year!
Just survived the record breaking snowstorm in Montreal by weathering the storm in a airport hotel.  The staff was slightly overwhelmed but we all came through it with good spirit... Have a happy holiday season and a very happy New Year.

It is sad that even in taiji we have alpha infections.  Well, I just have to go deeper and ever more deeper into non-attachment.  Have to see it as another challenge to be in my core, breath and journey further into the Void.
